Telstra Mico Sim

15 06 2010

If you are a current telstra pre-paid customer as I am, here is what i did as an alternative to the iPad $20 per month for data. As I have an iPhone on telstra’s 3G network with a prepaid sim. I have accumulated quite a bit of credit. The deal is if you spend $60 you get 250 mins and 250 texts. I do get through the minutes but have thousands of text messages stacked up and a heap of money, as the cash you spend goes into your account for spending on other products such as data, extra voice minutes, or here lies the key, Credit Me To You. I purchased a normal prepaid sim from the T-life store ( this was the most difficult part of the process as for some reason the government now wants you to give your soul for a prepaid sim and this is a time consuming process with some hung over fool on a saturday morning). Then simply cut the sim down to size, it really is easy. I used a pair of nail scissors no worries at all. Place sim into iPad then use the credit me to you feature to the number designated to the sim in your iPad. You can only transfer $10 per day unfortunately.
